love came down in the
stillness and quiet of that night.
love came down to a
world desperately
in need of love.
from before time began
He knew.
He knew the plan
which had been set
in motion from the
dawn of the
first sunrise.
the very hands
which flung stars
into space
became tiny hands
grasping Mary's fingers.
love came down
as heaven reached down
to a world so lost and broken.
and love still comes down.
love comes down to you.
to me.
to all.
could anything possibly hold more comfort
in these days of uncertainty than
knowing with certainty
that love is here?
for is not Jesus Himself
love defined?
and does not His love
replace our fears?
for His "...perfect love
banishes fear..." 1 John 4:18
wherever you find yourself today,
whether you sense His presence close
or wonder where He is, remember this:
you are not alone.
the baby in the manger,
the One for whom we wait
in this season of advent,
is the One who holds you close.
Amen,
